A little history around the Air Jordan 9 Retro Powder Blue
It all started in 1994. The Air Jordan 11 Low Legend Pink colorway was one of the four originals, along with the Air Jordan 9 OG Chicago, Olive and Charcoal. If it made such an impression, it is also because of an advertising poster. The legendary number 23 strikes a pose wearing these sneakers with a light blue midsole. His Airness abandons the Bulls jersey in favor of that of the University of North Carolina.
Its special 30th anniversary reissue will therefore be only the second of the Jordan 9 Powder Blue since its previous version in 2010.
Design features
A tribute to the UNC Tar Heels, the university team that saw the great Michael Jordan play, this special reissue has a dazzling white upper. The outsole sports an elegant sky blue referencing the tar heels team jersey. The contrast obtained between these two colors highlights the details and curves of the sneaker with a boot look.
